Are we really going to run out of water?

I know we have been talking about making your home a sanctuary.  We’ve brought people on the show to talk about doing the things that you WANT to do to your house.

But, now comes the time that we talk about the things we need to do.  The word is CONSERVE!

Folks, we need to conserve water.  All the experts are saying we WILL run out of water in 3-6 months.  This is not a joke.  This is for real!  If we as a community fail to do our part (and that is conserve) then we as a community will suffer the consequences -  TOGETHER!  So, TOGETHER we need to conserve water.

I have heard so many people say, “If I pay for water…then I should be able to use it when I want.”  I have also heard people say, “I am not using my irrigation system,  I am only watering individual flowers and the water I’m using is less than what 1 person uses in the show.”

To those people I ask this, “In 3-6 months, when you can’t take a shower or flush your toilet, was it worth it?” In times of trouble we need to stick together, so we as a community can come out on the other side of this drought!

On Atlanta Lifestyle Radio we discuss being Earth Friendly.  We talk about being partners with the environment!

It’s time for us to step up to the plate.  Let’s be true partners!  Our water is running out!  If you’ve never conserved before, I ask you to conserve now!

As you are aware, Georgia is under a COMPLETE OUTDOOR WATERING BAN.  Click the link below for a list of tips to conserve water inside:

Hey!  Wow the show is really going well and a lot of great information has been put out there.  We’ve already talked about siding, windows, kitchen and bath remodels, counters and cabinets.  We’ve had Southface Institute on the air as well as Energy Star.  We’re getting ready to talk about the in’s and out’s of new homes and custom homes with a home builder in the area and the Atlanta Home Builders Association.

I got to tell you, this is just the tip of the iceberg!  What do you know about geothermal? I don’t know much about it.  But, I do know that it’s great for the environment and it’s great for my pocket!  If I can lower my light bill and do my part to be earth friendly, then count me in! We’re going to talk about it!  Geothermal and Solar!

Man, soon we will all not only have the homes we want, but we will also have the environment we want too!

I just wanted to take a minute to welcome you to Atlanta Lifestyle Radio.  We are very excited to start this show.  I have listened, as many of you have at all of the “Do it Your self” home improvement shows and I got to tell you, I don’t always want to do it myself.  There have been several projects around myself that I didn’t have the time, energy or knowledge to do it on my own.  I figured that there were people out there just like me.

So, that’s the premise of the show.  I want to give you, the people of the Metro Atlanta area, resources and knowledge you need to choose the products that best fit you and the contractor that make that happen.  Not only that, but in today’s day and time so many people want to live “green friendly” but don’t know how to do that.  We will discuss just that.

I got to tell you, there are great “green friendly” products out there.  There are great programs out there.  The problem is that a lot of people don’t understand what that means.  The vast majority hear programs like, “Energy Star”, “Earthcraft”, or a product being “Energy Efficient” but, aren’t really sure what it means.  We want to explain that to you.

It’s difficult for anyone to make good sound consumer choices unless they are given the information.  Just consider Atlanta Lifestyle Radio as your weekly information source for your home construction and remodeling projects.

Tune in every Saturday at 8am!  Siding, windows, doors, landscape, lighting, kitchens, baths, Energy Star and Green Friendly……you ask and I’ll tell you!
